On December 1st, as part of our partnership with the Hallow App, we launched the first of five prayer challenges: "Be Still." This first challenge invited participants to find peace amid the busyness of the holiday season by prioritizing presence over pressure, helping establish prayer as a consistent and life-giving routine. The challenge engaged 150 members of our Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel parish presence on Hallow.In addition to participating in the Advent Prayer Challenge, several members sought prayer support for their special intentions. They explored other content on the app, either through our partnership or via their paid subscriptions. In all, close to 25,000 sessions of prayer were completed!

Our Next Challenge!Our next Prayer Challenge on Hallow will be 14 Days of Prayer, beginning on Wednesday, January 14!
Sample sessions on this challenge will include Imaginative Prayer, The Rosary, Lectio Divina, The Examen, Sacred Music, Surrender Novena, and more! Join us on Hallow and explore these various forms of prayer as you strengthen your prayer life and your journey with our Lord. -

If you are new to the Hallow App: Two Options
No Cost: You will be able to access free (limited) content on Hallow, plus selected premium content we will share via our Notre Dame page on Hallow.
- Download the Hallow app to your phone.
- Open the app and create a free account (skip payment prompt).
- Go to the Community (church) tab at the bottom of your screen.
- Select “Join a Church” and search for our parish by name or Zip Code (07927). Join!
- We invite you to follow the prompts to create a profile (if you haven't already), introduce yourself, and start praying!
Premium Subscription: You will have access to all content on the Hallow app! Our partnership offers a 6-month subscription at no cost, followed by a 25% discount for the remainder of our partnership (Dec. 2026). Please note that you will need to enter a credit card number, but you will not be billed until the 6-month trial ends. To redeem the offer:
- Go to Hallow.com/parish on a web browser
- Find our parish (by name or zip 07927). Join!
- Create an account (remember this info for later!)
- Redeem the subscription offer by using code: GrowthTrial25
- Download the Hallow app on your phone and open it.
- Login using using from step #3.
- Go to the “community” tab at the bottom. You should be connected to our parish page!

About Hallow...There is so much exploring and discovering to be done when it comes to the Hallow app! If you are new to the app, it may take some time before you feel entirely comfortable searching for specific content and even setting up a prayer routine that works for you. In the meantime, our partnership with Hallow will undoubtedly provide a good starting point!
The type of content you will have access to will depend on the nature of your account. If you have a paid subscription, you will have access to all the content. Otherwise, you will have access to selected "free content" plus the collections we will make available throughout our partnership. We highly recommend connecting to each of these five collections, which will be released through our Notre Dame page on the app. (A collection is simply a series of sessions centered around a particular theme or topic, such as a saint, a virtue, or a devotional practice. The idea is to select a collection and develop a routine by completing a session each day.)
Another good starting point is to use the "Discover" icon at the bottom of your screen. It will highlight various categories, including Bible-centered collections, Daily Scripture, Mental Health, Saints, Stories and Miracles, Music, Audio Books, and more.
